IAG Global members met in Odense Denmark, from June 4th-6th, for the IAG Global 2026 General Assembly. Host firm Astria Advokater warmly welcomed 30 IAG member firms to picturesque Odense along with six prospective members. The delegates unanimously approved two new members – Orhan & Orhan from Istanbul Turkey, and WeirFoulds from Ontario Canada – to the IAG’s growing member list. Also in attendance were four observer firms – AMV Law from Ukraine, Champion Accountants from England, PFR Advisors from California, and Tempus Law Associates from India.
The General Assembly Business Session, which coincided with Constitution Day in Demark, featured City Councilor and Chair of the North Atlantic House, Claus Holden, with a timely reminder of the fragile nature of democracy. Bjarne Klausen, CEO of the Odense Zoo, provided an eye-opening presentation highlighting the Zoo’s dedication to educating visitors about the realities of life and death in nature, and providing an enriching environment for the zoo’s residents. Returning focus to the key developments for professional services firms, the Assembly featured a 90-minute presentation and panel session on the development and use of AI within the legal and accounting industries, highlighting options for implementation from established vendors, as well as increasing opportunities to build bespoke solutions tailored to meet the needs of a specific firm or group. The session ended with member firms highlighting highly anticipated upcoming assemblies in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (November 2026), and Paphos, Cypres (April 2027).
The assembly continued with a visit to the Hans Christian Andersen Museum, and a delicious gala dinner at the Grand Hotel.
It was a magical weekend creating new memories and connections within IAG, and our hosts Astria Advokater did a splendid job of introducing IAG to the charm of Odense!
